This presentation will provide a brief overview of the IoT world and how Eclipse Kura tries to interpret this idea, giving developers the ability to build their own application, reducing the coding effort and the knowledge of the communication layers with the local sensors/actuators and the remote business applications. We will provide a general introduction on how Kura is structured and how it is able to communicate with local sensors/actuators and with a cloud platform. MQTT, the most used protocol for IoT, will also be introduced. The demo session will provide attendees with a general overview of the local Kura interface and management, the interaction with a remote cloud platform and how to develop and deploy applications to the framework from both local and remote platforms.
